Sep 10, Put a set of solid aluminum differential bushings from BimmerWorld into my BMW M3 bought the tool kit on BimmerWorld also. Took about four hours all tog. Removes and Installs front and rear bushings in the rear subframe. Fits: E87, E90, E91, E92 and E M3 may need subframe takedownstump.bar: Baum Tools. Apr 14, It looks like I need to replace my rear sub frame bushings my Z3 i roasters. I read that there is a way to remove the bushings without having to remove the rear end.

I've got a surprise. To remove the factory bushings you will have to drop the subframe but not fully remove it. You need enough access to the top of the bushings to put the washer plate on and thread the nut and locknut onto the threaded rod. For removal of the bushings at the rear of the subframe, you use the tool less the large tanged washer.
